The New Journey- Delivering intelligent, sustainable mobility The way people live in cities is changing continued growth of city regions need to reduce the impact of our growing population on the environment changing the way that individuals travel around will be key to the success of cities in the future. transition to a digital and data driven economy how can the West Midlands be a leader in developing and delivering intelligent and sustainable mobility?

The New Journey- Delivering intelligent, sustainable mobility The New Journey - a new way of thinking about connecting people and places, utilising new and emerging digital technologies a high level vision of a journey towards individualised, integrated and seamless mobility solutions maximising the benefits of open/digital data turning data into useful, timely information, allowing decisions to be made in real time, pushed to customers integrating payment systems with information can we develop a personal mobility account for passengers – mobility as a service?

The New Journey- Delivering intelligent, sustainable mobility New Journey Conference inaugural event comprised inspirational speakers and workshops workshops to help shape a shared vision for The New Journey and explore opportunities for new partnerships we asked the following questions- What is Intelligent Mobility? What information developments do we need? Payment systems and commercialisation - how will this work in the future? How do we work differently / what new partnerships need to be created?

For Centro to act as an enabler to pull together a number of actions- collate the outputs from the workshops and the thoughts, ideas and issues from the event and turn this into a Mind Map establish an advisory board and an action plan setting up task and finish groups to take forward some initial areas of work identified
