This government is committed to empowering regions across the UK by giving them a stronger influence over the future of transport in their area. 7 Project - Innovation Our ambition is for the corridor to be a living laboratory, where we have worked with partners to create the conditions in which innovators and entrepreneurs can bring forward customer focused offerings… Working in partnership with.. Transport Systems Catapult Local authorities Business community, capturing many SMEs Work Includes: Useable data source easily accessible information inform strategic land use planning and urban design decisions Decision making tool Enabling the data source to better inform policy making Exploring Mobility as a Service and emerging Technologies (CAV)

8 Project - Freight The logistics sector will be a key priority for some emerging Local Industrial Strategies in the Heartland. Our ambitious approach to freight means we are ensuring that transport solutions are genuinely unlocking economic growth, now – and in the future. We will work with: Our freight sector – domiciled in the Heartland The significant amount of passing freight companies – given our strategic position in the country Delivery Partners Innovators – including the Transport Systems Catapult EEH is reviewing how we can holistically plan for the most efficient ways of providing access to goods that; unlock economic potential; protect the environment; and future-proof the network for the benefit of everyone.

9 Project - Partnership with Bus Operators
A joint association between bus operators across the Oxford-Milton Keynes-Cambridge corridor and surrounding areas. The Partnership will ensure: a strong voice for bus operators on the planning and delivery of strategic infrastructure bus operators leading: better integration of public transport, improving the first and last mile of customer journeys, and enhancing the user experience Option for train operators to consider an equivalent association? “We want to play a leading role working in partnership to support economic growth across the Heartland. We want to be at the forefront of improving the user experience, increasing use of public transport and improving journey times.“ Robin Knight, Stagecoach (and member of the Strategic Transport Forum)
