National Aeronautics and Space Administration 1 Transitioning to Advanced Research & Technology Support (ARTS) June 13, 2013

National Aeronautics and Space Administration 2 Agenda Background Funding existing tasks & new ARTS tasks Discussion and Q&A  ARTS is currently in competition so we cannot entertain questions about the SEB

National Aeronautics and Space Administration ARTS Contract Team CO – Melissa Merrill COR – Karen Crandall Code B rep (temp) – Jacob Jevec TBD – Funding leads for each technical area TBD – ACOR 3

National Aeronautics and Space Administration 4 Background ARTS will combine the current SSETS contract with a number of NRA contracts (OAI, Toledo, CSU, and Akron) into a single research support contract. The scope of ARTS is to provide highly specialized research support with a focus on participation from educational institutions. ARTS will be CPFF and 100% task orders. –Tasks will be developed at a higher level than current contracts. –SOW template will be provided. –Provisions are in the SOW for the contractor to report labor and key data at the sub-task level. –Base year duration with 3 option years (until July 2017). Long-term plan is to re-compete this scope with the follow on for GESS-3 procurement (in 4 years).
