PowerPoint Information Your Name

How to add a theme  Design Tab  Add Variants-Change Colors, Fonts, Effects, and Background Style.  Color-Choose from list-it will change all the colored pieces of a slide-changes for all slides.  Fonts-Choose from list-will change title and body font styles.  Effects-Choose from list.  Background style-Gradients and others.  Format background(Customize group-not for whole slide)- no fill, solid fill, gradient, picture, pattern, or a slide.

Section Header This is used to change from one topic to another.

Movement on Slides (Two Content Layout) Transitions Tab  They are between slides  Choose from subtle, exciting, or dynamic  Choose apply to all in timing group  Sometimes you may have effect options which allows you to change directions Animations  They are within slides  Choose something to animate  Choose an animation you like  It may have effect options that I can use  In advanced animation, you have an animation pane which shows you what you have animated on each slide that you are on

Make Changes  To change the slide layout, select the slide you want to change.  Then choose layout in the slides group.  And then select the layout you want.  To move something first select what you want to move.  Then press Ctrl + x  Go to where you want to put it.  Right click  Select paste

Shapes To put in a shape go to Insert tab Select what I want to insert from images group, tables group, or illustration group. To insert a screenshot, select screenshot from images group, then choose what to insert. To insert a shape, choose a shape from the illustrations group and add it.

Smart Art Go to the insert tab Choose SmartArt from illustrations group Choose a graphic If there are pictures, click on the picture and insert Then add text

How to add a chart Select a chart to add From the menu I choose the type I want Add my data Format using the Chart Tools tab

To add a picture Choose the picture icon-either a picture or online picture Picture is on your Z File; online picture is on website Format using Picture tools tab To add WordArt, select text Choose Drawing Tools tab Add WordArt Styles as desired

Compression of Graphics Select picture and picture tools tab In adjust group, select compress picture Options: Delete cropped info, decrease the ppi, or apply only to this picture. I can some or all of these to decrease the size of the picture Can crop any graphic to a shape

Notes Pane  At the bottom of each slide  Press NOTES on the lower tool bar to make it visible if it’s not  Information to explain what my slide is about goes here  You can adjust the size of the notes pane  It never shows up in a slide show

Set Timings Rehearsing  Select the slide show tab  Go to Set Up group  Choose Rehearse Timings  Use right facing arrow in left corner to move forward  Use parallel signs to pause so you can think, then re-click parallel signs to move forward  Repeat goes back to the beginning of the slide you are on  The timing in minutes and seconds shows the entire time of the presentation Recording  Select the slide show tab  Go to the Set Up group  Choose record slide show  Choose what to record: Animations and/or narration or neither  Use right facing arrow in left corner to move forward  Use parallel signs to pause so you can think, then re-click parallel signs to move forward  Repeat goes back to the beginning of the slide you are on  The timing in minutes and seconds shows the entire time of the presentation

Set up the Slide Show  Go to Slide Show Tab  Choose Set Up slide show  Choose type of show: Full screen, browse, kiosk (keeps repeating)  Choose show options: Loop continuously until Esc, no narration, no animation, or disable hardware graphics  Choose pen or laser pointer color if available  Choose slides to show: All of them, by number, or choose selected slides (custom show)  Advance slides either manually (on mouse click) or use timings  Can choose multiple monitors if they are available
