Physical Features The location of Moldova is Eastern Europe, Northeast of Romania. The climate in Moldova is moderate winters and warm winters. The major river in Moldova is the Dniester it is the second largest river in Ukraine and the main water artery in Moldova and measures 839 miles.

Animals and plants The Eurasian Lynx grows up to 110 cm and weighs up to 38 kg It is the largest cat in Europe it has a short body It eats roe deer and smaller prey. Hunting and habitat loss is there threats. There are about 2300 species of plants there.

Tourist Attractions The palace of culture is part of the Moldova national museum complex it is home to four different Museums. The museum of history of Moldova, The Ethnographic museum of Moldova, Art museum and the museum of science and technology. The palace has 298 large rooms with a total area of 390,000 sq ft.

Culture The national holiday in Moldova is their Independence Day. The date they got their Independence from the soviet union was August 27,1991. A well known dish there is Mamaliga the ingredients are cottage cheese ,sour cream, pork rind and vegetables. The most popular sport there is football the national sport there is wrestling.

Capital city It is located in eastern Europe northeast of Romania When people go to Chisinau they usually visit there great Museums or there Monastaries. They usually eat dishes like Mamaliga. The way they say hello is npnBeT. The way they say goodbye is Ao cbnahnr.

Moldova’s Flag The flag of Moldova is based on the Romanian national flag and represents the shared heritage with Romania. Moldova was a part of Romania until the second world war. The Moldovan coat of arms is the only difference between the flags.
