Population: 30 mil. inhabitants Languages: English, French Capital city: Ottawa It is the second largest country in the world after Russia.

5 History The original inhabitants came to Canada some – years ago from Asia.The first Europeans here were the Vikings.Since the 16th century large territories were occupied by the French.Originally it was called New France because it was a French colony.In 1773 the French were defeated by British.In the 19th century Britain established a domination.Originally Canada had 4 provinces,now it has 10 provinces.

9 Geograpfy Mountains: Canada has large mountain areas – the Rocky Mountains, the Mackenzie and the Melvill Hills. The highest mountain is Logan.

The Canadian music industry has developed a music infrastructure. Canada Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) Canada has many culture institutions. These include museum, theatre, gallery. One of the most famous museums is Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.
