Why do universities raise funds from philanthropy? FOUNDATIONS

Founded in 1973, United States of America Merger of two associations (fundraising and alumni relations), now a wide range of professions Started in the UK 1994, Asia-Pacific 2007, Latina America 2011 and Africa 2013… As at October 2015 – Circa 4,000 institutions – and 80,000 members CASE

ADVANCEMENT Advancement (dɛfɪˈnɪʃ(ə)n): the act of moving forward the act or result of making something better, more successful, etc. the act of being raised to a higher rank or position
