How do you get to where you want to go? Academics Grades are important all 4 years of high school Talk to your high school guidance counselor Financial Aid Athletic Scholarships-very limited Academic Scholarships- limited Financial Aid Packages- calculated differently at each institution

Your Recruiting Process Sophomore-Junior Start researching Be aware of the types of schools out there If traveling near a school, set up a visit Contact coaches Junior Year-Take ACT/SATs Take ACT/SATs often Take unofficial visits to schools you’re interested in Senior Stay in contact with coaches Take official visits Make your decisions

D1 Recruiting Guidelines Freshman/Sophomore Questionnaires/Camp Brochures Coaches CANNOT call you You may call a coach Junior Recruiting Materials/ s after Sept. 1 One phone call per week, off campus contact after July 7 th after Junior year Senior Phone calls once per week Official visits after first day of senior year Total of 5 official visits
