Willow Cooke

Early Years Harriet was born a slave. Harriet did hard work as a child. Slaves were not aloud to learn including Harriet because if they had an education they would be able to escape but Harriet did it but she was a little educated so she got out of slavery because of her Daddy Ben. Harriet had on brother. Harriet worked for a neighbor and would get whipped if she didn’t complete her task.

Middle Years When Harriet got older she found love and got married up with another slave. She got married to John Tubman Harriet never went to college either. Harriet Tubman’s father always influenced her to follow her dreams and to run away and how to get north. When she was a teenager the boss man threw a weight at Harriet but he ment to hit a slave that was trying to run off.

Why was this Person famous This person is famous because she is one of the most bravest freedom fighters that I know and that the world knows. She was never afraid that is why she is brave. She always kept her eyes on the sky when she was walking to freedom and she made it to freedom that is another reason she is famous. She was conductor of the Underground Rail Road. She and the other went to station to station struggling running and fighting for great freedom they always wanted.

Why did you choose this Person I chose this person because she was a slave and made it to freedom. She is one of the most bravest slave fighters. I also chose this person because she is an African- American just like me. And I chose this person because she fought for freedom for us African-Americans like me.
