Contract Awarded to Waste Management Contract Awarded to Waste Management Training for custodians Emphasis on mixed paper and cardboard since a sorting center was under construction Albuquerque Public Schools leveraged the contract to get all their schools under one contract Facilities

To date CNM recycled: 232 tons of cardboard/paper; 11 tons of metal; 11 tons of plastics; 5 tons of aluminum; Recycling these materials avoided their manufacturing from virgin materials thereby conserving these natural resources. 2,786 Mature Trees This represents enough saved timber resources to produce more than 34,516,000 sheets of newspaper! 558 Barrels of Oil This provides enough energy to heat and cool more than 116 homes for one year!.95 Million Kw-Hrs of Electricity from Recycling This is enough power to fulfill the annual electricity needs of more than 116homes! 937 Cubic Yards Of Landfill Airspace This represents enough airspace to fulfill the municipal waste disposal needs for 1,202people for one year!
