Healthcare Partnerships in Northern Iraq Site visit by ETSU team: Bruce Behringer, Dr. Martin Olsen (OB-GYN) and Dr. Wayne Myers (retired head of Federal Office Rural Health) Three lectures in each of three cities and site visits to rural hospitals and teaching health centers “ETSU Reunions” with Kurdish visitors

Findings from Iraq Visit The North is secure. It suffers from third world health statistics. Health professionals work very hard but with 1960s-level resources. Health leaders have used ideas provided by ETSU. Americans are appreciated as liberators. Few could understand Saddam’s brutality or control.
