Step 2: Public relations - to create a pro-active image of ATTRACT Science|Business – promoting ATTRACT 5 The EU and its member-states as well as its associated countries invest heavily in big Research Infrastructures. What does it get for that investment, besides great science? This public conference highlighted the new economic thinking in the field with original research reports and a policy debate about how to encourage projects that can help – particularly in light of President Junker’s new investment plan. Step 3: Top level profiling - to highlight ATTRACT as open innovation leader Science|Business – promoting ATTRACT 6 One year after the launch of the Horizon 2020 programme, Science|Business brought together applicants, project holders, industry executives and key policy makers to take stock of the programme and discuss the most important challenges for Europe to solve over the next 20 years. Step 4: Industry outreach - presenting ATTRACT to investor community Science|Business – promoting ATTRACT 7 A dinner with 21 corporate venturers interested in joining ATTRACT, where they provided advice and feedback on the best investment strategies for the initiative.
