Transition Setup An all new webpage structure and database will need to be created for the registration system because the current system is an excel spreadsheet and not online. Information about instructor and their profiles will need to be collected and loaded into the system. New landing webpages will need to be created for the Students, the Lesson Coordinator, and the Instructors.

Registration Students enter in their basic contact information, age, and any music experience they have. Musical instrument of interest (if not already listed as an instrument that they have taken before). Search for time slots by either instructor profiles and selected instruments or available time for the associated instrument. The student can then select a time slot and type of lesson (half an hour or hour). After that they will be pushed to a summary page that will have a PayPal button. Instructor are paid directly for the lessons and the instructor will be sent verification. Students can also cancel a lesson online up to 24 hours before after that they will be directed to a webpage that explains this and lists the instructor’s phone number.

Registration

PayPal and Fees Individual lessons are purchased on a month to month basis. Four 30 minute lesson (at $19) the cost is normally $76. Using PayPal the instructors will be charged a fee of 2.50 per monthly half-hour lesson package sold. Four hour lessons (at $38) the cost is normally $152. Using PayPal the instructors will be charged a fee of $5.00 per monthly hour lesson package sold.

Lesson Coordinator Home Page Manually enter lessons for technology impaired students. Add and remove instructors and lesson programs. Ability to edit orders if something is entered in error.

Student Home Page Schedule/Cancel lessons (within 24 hours) Contact Instructor Search for other students to preform music with.
