Agriculture Engineering By: Juan Garza

Us as agricultural engineers, get to conduct research and do experiments to upgrade the amount and quality of field crops and farm animals. We also get to distribute more better ways of process, packaging, and delivering new food products or items.Evaluation of the configuration of soil, as it refers to plant growth, sharing research findings to food producers, scientific community and the public. And last but not least, we get to visit and examine other agriculture facilities to see the utilization of new and starting projects.

 You must receive a bachelor’s degree that has been accredited from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology(ABET).Will mostly have a focus on the technology equipped in agricultural processes.  A “professional engineer” license must be acquired by you personally, which is a requirement from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).You’re also required to take a licensing exam for those in agriculture specifically.  Being certified is another step too, so that means having a engineering degree, work experience, and personal approval or endorsement.  Finally, once you’ve gained enough experience you can now take on challenging projects and can later become a supervisor or engineering managers. You can also pass on your field experience or mastery into an agricultural equipment sales position.  areer_Guide.html

 Creativity is one of the major and driving force behind this inventiness. All those worthy skills you’ve been trained can benefit from you designing the next efficient water system and giving a farmer more ease in irrigating he or her crops. Also ciriculums you know like for example, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus can help you solve challenges or problems as soil erosion, flooding, water quality, and river control.Analyzing data is also important and having interest in issues of our environment.  agricultural-engineer html

 Average salary in 2011 was $78,400,but the common salaries go from $56,470 to $93,880.According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It was announced that Georgia has the highest-paying wage in 2011, which was a amount of $95,500.Maryland was in second place having an average of $88,660, then Texas in third place with $85,560, followed by Tennessee at $85,070 and Ohio at $79,980. South Dakota had the lowest salary amount of $57,620.  salaries-6721.html

 It was predicted, that employment of agricultural and food scientists would increase to 9% from 2012 to 2022.The increasing growth over the the next 10 years will probably be under the category of “private industry”.Soil, water, and the ecosystem will need to be preserved by agriculture scientists and debate over more renewable energy sources are proclaimed.Private industry just keeps rising as it’s role is necessary for us developing, foods, crops, and drugs as we also check the quality and safety of our food products.  science/agricultural-and-food-scientists.htm#tab-6

 Occupations that are similar are, agriculture and food scientists technichians, biochemist, biological and chemical technicians to landscape architects, veterinarians, microbioligists and so forth.  social-science/agricultural-and-food- scientists.htm#tab-7
