Breast Cancer Breast Cancer is a cancer one in eight (13 percent of women). Women sixty and older have a greater risk of getting breast cancer than teenagers and young women do. Among those who are diagnosed with Breast Cancer40,000 women will die and 460 men will die from it. Breast Cancer is also the most common cancer in women and it is the second leading cause of death by cancer, after lung cancer.

Ovarian Cancer Ovarian cancer forms in tissues of the ovary, which is one of a pair of female reproductive glands and here is where the eggs, are formed. Most ovarian cancers are either ovarian epithelial carcinomas, which is a cancer that begins in the cells on the surface of the ovary. It even might be malignant germ cell tumors (cancer that begins in egg cells).

Testicular Cancer Cancer that forms in the testes, male reproductive gland. Two types of this are seminomas, which is a cancer that grows slowly and is sensitive to radiation, the other is nonseminomas, which is a cancer that grows faster than seminomas.

Prostate Cancer Prostate cancer is a cancer that forms in the tissues of the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system and it’s found under the bladder and in front of the rectum. Prostate cancer is also usually found in older men. The number of diagnosed men in 2008 was 186,320, and the number of the deaths were 28,660 men.

Chlamydia Chlamydia is an STD or sexually transmitted disease. It’s one of the most common bacterial STD and it’s one of the most reported bacterial STD. It is caused by the bacteria, Chlamydia trachomatis, and this can truly damage a woman's reproductive organs. It has also very mild symptoms or it might not even have any at all. It can cause infertility, and it can happen without any signs, so a woman might not even recognize any problems. Chlamydia can also cause discharge from an infected man’s penis.

Gonorrhea Gonorrhea is an STD that’s highly contagious and can be spread only by sex. The bacteria, neisseria gonorrhoeae causes Gonorrhea and it can multiply extremely easily in moist warm areas, like the cervix, uterus, and fallopian tubes in women. In the urethra it can be spread also, but this time in both men and women. This bacteria can also grow in the mouth, and throat. Gonorrhea can also be spread from mother to baby during the delivery.

Urinary Tract Infection A Urinary Tract Infection is an infection of your urinary tract system which consists of your kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra, which all either make, store, and expel urine. Infections of the urinary tract are the second most common type of infection in the body. Urinary tract infections cause for about 8.3 million doctor visits each year. Women are particularly prone to Urinary Tract Infections, one in five women develop a Urinary Tract Infection at some point in their lifetime. Urinary Tract Infections aren’t as common in men as they are in women, but when they are in men, they can be very serious.

Contraceptive Pills Another name for Contraceptive Pills is Birth Control Pills. These pills help prevent pregnancy. However if you take these pills and do have sex, it won’t stop you from getting any STD’s like Gonorrhea. These oral contraceptives are combinations of estrogen, and progestin (sometimes its progestin by itself). This combination prevents pregnancy because it slows down the release of the hormones like LH and FSH from the pituitary gland in the brain.
