WHAT IS WEEBLY? A free website that allows individuals to build a free website. As of 2012 weebly hosts over 20 million sites with a monthly rate of 1 million unique visitors. A student friendly website where students can create websites for projects, portfolios, or for their own personal use.

WHY WEEBLY? Weebly is a place where teachers can create photo galleries, videos, audio clips, blogs, contact forms and more for their students. Teachers can accept homework assignments online. Provide students a new engaging way to express themselves being creative. Teachers can easily manage and monitor students work using this website.

WHAT CAN STUDENTS DO ON WEEBLY? Students can build nice, and neat websites. Gain experience using new web technologies. Have fun! Showcase their work in their own self created eportfolio.

WHY I AM “PRO” WEEBLY? I am all for encouraging and keeping our students engaged. This is a fun, FREE tool that students can easily access anywhere. Weebly allows students to be creative, and think out of the box. The student’s website will be live, free, and anyone can see the students work. It allows students to be able to collaborate with others. Collaboration is a good way to promote student learning!

YES WEEBLY IS REALLY FREE! Yes for a simple basic free website Weebly is FREE!! However, there is a “Pro” level service teachers can purchase for additional features and a “campus” edition that schools can purchase for managing all accounts in a school.

WEEBLY PRO Weebly Pro costs $39.95 a year, when a teacher upgrades to Pro, all the students accounts managed by that teacher are automatically upgraded as well!!

CAMPUS EDITION PRICING Base plan: Manage up to 20 teacher accounts and up to 500 student sub accounts. Additional account packs: 1 teacher account and 25 student sub accounts. On the next slide you will see a chart explaining the difference between a free weebly account, the pro, and the campus edition.
