Lets start with an ice breaker… Pair up Each person will ask their partner three questions These questions should be about things they want to know about their partner Class will regroup in 5 minutes Each partnership will introduce their partner to the class with three new facts they learned.

Creating information for your substitute folder… More detailed information Day will be more productive Students will know if the substitute does not know the daily routines Plan ahead and create a substitute folder:

Substitute folder should include the following information… Class schedule (Agenda) Class list and seating chart School map Daily routines and procedures (i.e. lunch, dismissal, bus, etc…) Buddy Teacher Classroom rules, rewards and consequences Student Schedules Emergency information Lesson plans Location of teaching manuals, supplies and equipment they can use Detailed plan for the day Substitute report form
