Start with an Origami boat.

Open the bottom of the boat and fit your finger inside so you can hold it up and show your audience. Say, “Captain Jerrrrrrrry was sailing his boat through the water.”

Say, “Suddenly, he hit an iceberg, and the front of his boat fell off!” (Rip off the right side of the boat.)

Say, “So Captain Jerrrrrrrry turned around, and sailed in the other direction. But he wasn’t paying attention, and he hit a sandbar! The back of his his boat fell off!” (Rip off the left side of the boat.)

Say, “So Captain Jerrrrrrrry floated around in the middle of the ocean. Then a storm came (he forgot to do his Ugga Buggas). A bolt of lightening struck the mast! And then the mast fell off! (Rip off the top point of the boat.)

Say, “And finally, the boat sank.”

Unfold the front and back flaps. Say, “When the storm ended…”

Continue to unfold the front and back flaps. Say, “…the only thing to wash up on shore…”

Unfold the two flaps in front.

Say, “…was Captain Jerrrrrrrry’s T-shirt!” ugga B ugga
