WELCOME To Econ 1120-Wissink u Welcome to (or back to) Ithaca and Cornell. u Welcome to Economics 1120: Introductory Macroeconomics–Lecture 1 –COURSE SYNOPSIS: This course will introduce you to the basic tools of macroeconomic theory necessary to analyze contemporary economic problems and their proposed solutions. In particular, we will analyze aggregate economic activity in relation to the level, stability, and growth of national income. Topics discussed include the determination and effects of unemployment, inflation, balance of payments, deficits, and economic development, and how these may be influenced by monetary, fiscal and other policies. [Note: Economics 1110 is not a prerequisite for Economics You can even take BOTH at the same time.] u Web address for THIS class: WRITE THIS DOWN u Dated announcements for the class: See our Cornell Blackboard site. –If you have successfully enrolled in the class & a section via Student Center, then you are automatically enrolled on our Blackboard site. –If you are currently a "guest" in the class, hoping to get in, then you can access the announcements on Blackboard by going to the site. You will need to search for the site on Blackboard. »If you are still not in the class, please come down front and see the Head TA right after class.
