MEMBERSHIP SURVEY FEEDBACK 2014/15

Thank you for all for answering the survey – it is appreciated. We feel the level of service you deserve has improved since last season. However, there are still improvements to be made, and we always welcome any suggestions you have. Here is a collective summary of the results. Thank you on behalf of the Membership Team MEMBERSHIP SURVEY FEEDBACK 2014/15

Growth and support for your clubs. We are pleased with how you value our help. We will continue to support you, especially with grant support and funding issues – so please call us! Club Matters is also an excellent tool for Club Support. ( Insurance. Remember to tell your facility that you have Public Liability Insurance – this can potentially save you money on your facility hire. Ask us for more information. Member Benefits. We will look to further improve your Member Benefits where possible. WHY YOU AFFILIATE

75% of you said you ran recreational sessions - 22% said you branded these Go Spike. It’s great to see so many recreational sessions are taking place, and that a full pathway of different player opportunities is available. Going forward we encourage you to brand your sessions Go Spike, to take advantage of the national programme. We will work with the Go Spike team to develop a detailed list of benefits that would accrue if you branded your recreational sessions as Go Spike. The Go Spike Activator Award can support the development of your Go Spike sessions. RECREATIONAL SESSIONS

35% of you would like to change your court layout to two courts. We have submitted a substantial application to Sport England to ask for funding towards this. 22% said you would like a beach court. Currently a funding application has been submitted to the Inspired Facilities Programme, which will potentially see a new beach court in Scarborough. Feel free to talk to us if you are looking to make an application. We are in the process of reviewing our Indoor and Beach Facility Strategy with Sport England – this will hopefully result in more funding towards facility development.

A number of you said that finding a facility to play in is a challenge. SchoolHire are an independent company (not associated with Volleyball England) that advertises facilities, which are available to hire. Temporary Structures are another great and cheaper way of creating a new home! We could help with applying for funding to do this.

IMPROVEMENTS FOR YOU Volleyball England promises to deliver consistently good customer service. Volleyball England promise to make you ALL feel like part of the family. The Membership Team promises to send you a bi-monthly newsletter – this will be tailored for you. If you want to apply for a grant then we want to help you, whether your club plays at a local, regional or national level. You said you wanted more specific benefits, that are useful to YOU as Volleyball players. We’ve just announced our partnership with Mizuno and SportSet and we want to build on this to deliver you relevant benefits. Volleyball England will make every endeavour to come out to your local communities and meet face-to-face with greater frequency. If your club is not in an Investment Zone, we will try to attend your local or regional AGM’s, events, or tournaments.
