Brazil Facts Brazil is one of the largest countries in the world. Population of Brazil is 186,112,794. The Amazon river is the longest river in Brazil. One of the largest Roman Catholic countries www.hubpages.com/hub/Fun-Facts-about-Brazil

Day 1 - The Rainforest When we arrived in Brazil we visited the Rainforest searching for animals. As we approached the rainforest we heard parrots squawking and Jaguars roaring as the sloth's played in the undergrowth, with the bats sleeping in the caves. www.google.co.uk/imgres

Day 1 - The Rainforest The jaguar is the largest cat native to the western hemisphere. The scientific name for a jaguar is a Panteraonca.

Day 2 - Tribes First of all, we went for a walk in the Amazon rainforest. A few minutes later, we discovered a tribe. It was the Caboclos. They are very skilled hunters and cooks. They are also known for their fishing and small farms.

Day 3 - Food and Festivals Day 3 - Food and Festivals The capital of Brazil is Brasilia. Whilst in Brasilia we visited The Carnival of Brazil. There were lots of floats and thousands of people in fancy colourful costumes – it was fun!

Day 3 - Food and Festivals Day 3 - Food and Festivals We also went to a food festival and tasted one of Brazil’s best dishes which is called feijoada. For desert we had a Ice cream made of exotic tropical fruit. Italian dishes are also found every were in Brazil.

Day 4 - Coffee Plant When we visited the local coffee plant we discovered that Hora de Cafezinho means the coffee hour in Brazil. It was only in 1727 that the first coffee bush was planted in Brazil. One single coffee plant produces about 1 pound of coffee per year in Brazil.

Day 4 - Coffee Plant After leaving the coffee plant we visited a local cafe and sat down and tasted Brazil’s favourite coffee Cafezinho which is thick, sweet and usually is served with cream or little milk.

We had a fantastic time in Brazil especially when we visited and learnt about the coffee plantation. We even managed to bring back some souvenirs for our mums and dads.

 Thank you from Class 16
