Traditional clothing By Alexandra Abend Matilda Clark

Introduction IntroductionIntroduction Chinese clothing The clothing and accessories that the rich and poor people of china wore were very different because some people are rich and some are poor. It was amazing how different they were.

The poor. The poor wore woven loose garments made of hemp, a rough fabric. In some places even those that weren’t poor, but were salesmen were not allowed to wear silk because it was only for the privileged. I think the poor should have been able to where silk because it would not be fair.

The wealthy The wealthy ladies and high-ranking officials and scholars wore splendid robes of silk; silk was only for the privileged groups. Jewelry was also worn for accessories accessories the wealthy had nail guards, combs, clips, and even more. I think the wealthy should have been more nicer to the poor.

Women and men in Chinese clothing In China men wore short shirts with belts. The women had different kinds of clothing in ancient times. Women wore long dresses that come down to their knees. When the Chinese would make the clothing often the materiel would be silk. Also they would use accuracies in the dress to make it pretty.

Men’s clothing Men had worn a very different look than the US. Men and women wore a very unique style that is a short shirt with a belt and short shorts that are very short. I think the wealthy men and poor men dressed the same. Men in traditional clothing Men
