Global Change

The Global Change gives users the ability to make global changes to quotes by displaying common options, allowing users to edit the options and saving the changes to the items in the quote. The Global Change button is added into the Quote Information screen.

The Global Change screen Click on the Global Change button in the Quote Information screen. The Global Change screen will appear, showing available common options of all items in the current quote. Color, Glass, Grid, Screen, and Wood Surround options are available in the Global Change Option Panel.

However, some of these options will not appear if common option value does not exist.

Initially, the Global Change displays common options of all items in the quote. If you want to exclude some of the items, uncheck the lines you want and click 'Refresh Common Options' button. Then the Global Change Option Panel will be updated using the selected items. When you have common options of the items you selected, edit the Global Change Option Panel by changing option values of the options you want to change. Each option in the Global Change has the common options of the selected items and default value, 'No Change'. If you want to keep a current option value of a particular option, set the option value to 'No Change'. You can do following in the Global Change screen. Save Lines to Order Cancel Refresh Common Options Save lines to New Quote Save Lines to Order Current option values you just edited will be saved into the selected items and bring you back to the Quote Information screen if no error occurred while saving your changes. If any errors occur while validating the items, saving will not be performed and error message will be displayed.

Cancel WW will be back to the Quote Information screen without saving your change. Refresh Common Options This will refresh the Global Change Option Panel using the selected items. Save Lines to New Quote Your change will be applied to the selected items but the change will be saved in a New Quote, not current Quote. When you click 'Save Lines to New Quote', WW will display the quote information screen if there's no error while making global change. Type appropriate new quote information to the Quote Information screen and click 'Continue' button. Note: Your change will be applied to ONLY selected items but all items in the quote will be copied to a new quote with/without change depends on your selection.

Then, you will see a new quote(W ) which contains the result of global change you just made from the old quote(W ).

Error validation If there's any validation error, global change will not be performed and the error message will appear at the bottom of the screen. This example shows the error case when user tried to apply '5/8” Contour Colonial' to all lines. Grid pattern field is set to 'N/A' in this example since there is no common grid pattern between DH and HR.
