Choices at 16 – What to Study If you decide to stay in education you will need to make decisions on: –What subjects you want to study –What qualifications you want to gain –Where to study Don’t forget to think ahead! What do you want to do at age 18?

How to Register Click on the ‘Register’ button at the top of the homepage

How to Register You will be given your UPN (unique pupil number) by your school which you need to enter on the first screen of the registration page along with some other personal details. Make sure the address you enter can be accessed in school as you will need it for the second part of the registration process.

How to Register Once you have entered all your information correctly you will receive an with a link that you need to click on to complete the second part of the registration process.

How to Register For the second part of the registration process you need to set up a username and password as well as set up a security question that you will need to remember in case you forget your login details.

Login to My Account You are now ready to login to ‘My Account’ Complete each section in ‘My Account’ When you are ready to apply for a course the information from ‘My Account’ will pre-fill the form for you Use ‘My Career Plan’ to set actions to help you achieve your future goals

How to Apply Online 1.Search courses 2.Choose which courses to apply for 3.Login with your username and password 4.If you have already completed ‘My Account’ you can use this information for your application form 5.You may need to complete a few additional questions on your application form 6.Check what you’ve put on your form then send it

Search courses Use the search options to find the specific courses you want

Search courses To find courses at the local sixth form: Type your chosen Sixth Form or College into the Quick Search box and click Search Courses

2. Choose which courses to apply for Click ‘Add to Application’ next to courses you want to select

When you’ve finished selecting courses, click ‘Continue’ 2. Choose which courses to apply for

3. Login with your username and password You’ll be asked to login, enter the username and password that you registered your account with.

5. Fill in the application form If you have already completed information in ’My Account’ you may need to complete a few additional questions on your application form Click Save and Continue when you’re ready for the next set of questions

6. Check what you’ve put on your form then send it When your form’s complete, you go to the Check and Send Page Click Check Application to see a summary of your form – read it through carefully before sending it When you’re ready to apply, click Submit Application

What Happens Next? 1.You’ll get an Receipt to confirm your application’s been sent 2.You’ll then get an Acknowledgement from each sixth form and college when they start processing your application 3.Some sixth forms and colleges then contact you to arrange an Advice Interview
