Easy to use Works on your PC, Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone Accessible from your own home, or on the beach in Barbados What it does: It allows you to... + maintain your personal details + create, view and submit expenses + book, view and cancel a shift / meeting / course + view your hours worked + view National and Regional news items + access NT volunteer information and resources + access Dunham Massey news items and events

myvolunteering.nationaltrust.org.uk is the website address. Add it to your favourites. You should have received an invitation to register for myvolunteering by , if not ask the Volunteer Manager or Myvolunteering Expert Volunteer. Registering creates an account with your unique Username and Password, both of which you choose. Now you are able to log in to your account.

4 Login Page… … is where you enter your
Username and Password to log in to your account. This is your account, no other volunteer can see it. Tip - Click the Remember me box so you don’t have to log in every time. Tip – If you volunteer for more than one job or at more than one property, it is all here in the one place, it is your complete account! supervolunteer

5 Home Page… … is where you can get an overview of your account. If you have several roles or volunteer at other properties they will all show here all on your one account.

6 Profile Page… … is where you can view and change all your details including bank account. Tip – Check here occasionally to make sure your details are still correct.

7 Expenses Page… … is where you can create a new expense claim and view your claim history.

8 Rota & Hours Page… … is where you can book, view and cancel a shift.
Your next 5 shifts are shown on this page, whichever property they are at. Tip – Do not Log Hours as myvolunteering does this automatically. Only Log Hours if requested to.

9 News Page… … is where you can read current NT myvolunteering news articles from Regional Correspondents and on wider issues in the Focus on section. Past articles are available in Archived news. Tip – Read back in the Archived news files and you will find incredible articles by passionate volunteers about places and subjects you didn’t realise you were interested in.

10 Resources Page… … is a mine of information for volunteers, with links to NT policies, newsletters from the top management and links to your Property Pages, if available.

11 The two pages that need further explanation are Expenses and Rota’s
The two pages that need further explanation are Expenses and Rota’s. They are easy when explained and you have some practice which is why we offer help and training to anyone that requires it. You are not forced to use Myvolunteering but if you do it helps the property release staff hours for other work.

12 Clicking the Rota & Hours tab opens the myvolunteering rota page, starting with some useful and important information and below it is……………………..

13 Click on the calendar to chose a date
Click on Next Week to move forward a week Choose which property and your role, if necessary. Blanks mean no shift Tip – Hover your cursor over any button to see who is booked (PC/laptop only) The page opens with the current weeks rota (Sunday to Saturday). Click on a green BOOK button to book a shift. Click on an orange VIEW/CANCEL button to view or cancel a shift.

Once clicking on BOOK on previous page this confirmation page opens. Click CONFIRM BOOKING and you shift is booked. You will receive a confirmation for each booking you make.

15 Choose property and create a claim description

and Add a date for your first expense

and reason for the expense Enter travel mileage and transport method Amount is added automatically but click that you have a VAT receipt The VAT is calculated automatically

18 So that’s your first expense claimed. To add another expense just
Make a note of your personal Expenses Account Number and your unique Claim Reference number for this claim. So that’s your first expense claimed. To add another expense just click Copy Expense button and a new expense page opens. just change the date and click the Next button. Your personal Expenses account number Your unique number for this claim When you have finished all your expense claims, check the Claim summary and click SUBMIT for approval

19 After submitting wait for an email to confirm that your claim has been approved.
When approved put your receipts in the special green expense claim envelopes (ask where they are kept) and complete the back with your name, Personal expense number and the Unique claim number. Either mail to head office or ask for it to be sent in internal mail. Payment is usually made in 2 weeks and a remittance advice sent to you by a few days prior to payment arriving in your bank.
