What does it mean to be homeless? Cold and Alone Frightened No where to sleep Hungry Always on the move

Why might a young person become homeless? It’s not safe for them to stay there No one is looking after them Their parents lose their home Nobody wants them They run away from home

Depaul UK help young people across the UK who are homeless.

We do this by: Finding young people a place to call their home Working with families and young people to stop them becoming homeless Helping young people achieve their dreams

Our mission is to offer homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfil their potential and move towards a positive and independent future.

1. Accommodation - We have eighteen accommodation projects across the UK that help young people to take their first steps into living on their own. 2.Training and Employment – We provide Life Skills, Motivation and Confidence Training, IT Skills and Financial Literacy training. 3. Family Mediation - We rebuild relationships within the family through counselling and support sessions. Depaul UK: what we do

4.Prison Work – we working in prisons around the UK providing mentoring, training and support to help reduce the risk of re-offending. 5.Volunteering and Mentoring - Young people are encouraged to get involved in volunteering opportunities in the local community. 6.Work in the Community – we work in local communities to provide a range of activities, sports and social groups to inspire and motivate young people.
