NAACP “National Association for the Advancement of Colored People” NAACP now is an organization in the US who supports the premier advocates for civil rights in their communities campaigning for equal opportunity and conducting voter mobilization. NAACP was originally formed to stop all of the racism and lynching that was happening towards African Americans.

Time period The NAACP was founded February 12, There has beenmore than half a million members throught out its existence The NAACP is the oldest and largest organization with recognized grassroots-based civil rights.

Effects on African Americans African Americans during this time period were suffering from being lynched Whites were finding unreasonable reasons to act such a harsh way towards African Americans NAACP was a chance for African Americans to gain the rights that they deserved.
