SENIOR PRESENTATION Siarra Frandsen 1 St period

A LITTLE ABOUT ME …  I am from Salt lake city, Utah.  I am 17 years old.  I love the outdoors, fishing, camping or just being with my family  I am 1 of 3 kids and happen to be the youngest by 2 minutes! I am a Fraternal twin.

HIGHLIGHTS ABOUT ME..  My favorite thing in life is probably Ambert, my cat. I have had him 14 years as of June 25th. He was given to me for my birthday by my grandparents.

THE NEXT CHAPTER..  The last 3 years at Copper Hills have been some of the most challenging years of my life in good and bad ways but in just a short amount of time will become the first small chapter to what I'm about to face after high school, dealing with as some my age call it “adult Stuff.”  As much as I've enjoyed high school and am going to miss it I'm very anxious to move on to being an adult and figuring out the new struggles I am going to have to overcome over the next several years such as dealing with my career path and steps I'm going to take to get me there, So far by starting by working towards getting generals in the fall after i graduate and then possibly moving on to cosmetology and beauty school.

CAREER..  I have always had a love for all beauty related things from when i was 7 begging to paint my moms nails even though i did 10 minutes before that to now at the age of 17 beginning able to do my friends hair and make up for prom or just a fun night out and spending many hours at night when I should be trying to get some sleep searching makeup and hair tutorials for new tricks and tips. I love being able to make some feel confident about themselves and seeing by just doing someones hair and makeup they can completely change their outlook on how they feel about themselves.

ACCOMPLISHING MY GOAL  I see myself pursuing this career for many reasons which I have listed, at this point it is just about going to school and completing all the things needed to get me to be able to have a license in all categories. While researching this career i became even more educated in different aspects of the career such as finding out the back ground history of how cosmetology was started and how many different paths you can take with this career.

DIFFERENT CAREER AREAS  As much as I love beauty related things I have taken 3 marketing class while attending Copper hills that I have loved that’s why I decided to look into see what a day in the life of dealing with marketing would be like.

JOB SHADOWING  My reasoning behind choosing to do this shadow because of my interest in marketing i was able to go to a bank and experience the marketing department. On April 27 where I was able shadow Venetia Frandsen, Vice President of Marketing and work on multiple mailings, go on a press check and a short meeting which are weekly duties performed.

THINGS I LEARNED ABOUT

MARKETING  I learned many things I had no idea went into marketing, this was a very learning experience and I'm glad I did it because this helped me see what it would be like to pursue this career and I learned this may not be exactly what I'm looking for but I'm glad I was able to do some of highlights of the of day were just the overall learning experience..

MERRICK BANK  I have learned that Marketing is a complex career and I was only able to see a small portion of it. it was interesting but you need to be very aggressive when working with print companies and I am not sure this is a good fit for me.

“ITS BEEN REAL..”  Well it's a wrap.. I will forever take with me life learned lessons from my years attending Copper Hills and cannot wait to see all the new ones I'm about to face.
