2.  I was born on January third in Salt Lake City, Utah, but I grew up on the beach of Sacramento, California. Up until the age of 10, my mother and I would consistently move to and from Salt Lake and Sacramento. My Mother's side of the family lived in California, but my Father's side lived in Salt Lake. My Mother and Father were never married and they quickly separated after I was born. My father ran off and got married resulting in him being out of my life up until I was about seven years old. I have three half brothers and a sister. I have the same Mother with one of my brothers, and then I the other 3 are from my Father. I grew up in a home where I learned at a very young age the meaning of responsibility. Growing up hit me quickly, without choice. I work two part-time jobs as well as going to school full-time. I work at East Canyon Resort as a waitress at Canyon Ridge Grill, as well as a sales associate at Old Navy. My goal in life is to be a full-time Pharmacist by the age of 30, and I will do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal.

3.  During the time period of my life this far, I’ve moved a total of at least 50 times minimum.  I have yet to have had a full sibling.  Old Navy was my first job, and is still currently two years later.

4.  The original project plan was for Colton, Morgan, and I to go and clean up the gravel pits so that they were available to ride ATV’s on again. The plan ended up falling through due to the fact that they are now currently building homes in that area.  Our new project idea was to make and donate baby blankets to Primary Children’s Hospital for whoever may be in need of them.

5.  Attend Salt Lake Community College and complete generals to become a Pharmacy Technician.  Goal: Become a certified Pharmacist by no later then the age of 25.

6. Scores: 14 - Realistic 17 - Investigative 11- Artistic 28 - Social 28 - Enterprising 29 – Conventional Top 3 Careers: Flight Attendant Nursing Assistant Pharmacist  A pharmacist most likely connects to me from my scores because I enjoy helping others with their problems and I am extremely detail- oriented. These are both necessary skills to have in this career.

7.  The job outlook for a Pharmacist is estimated to increase at 14% (as fast as average) between now and 2022.  I see myself pursuing this career even more now so because of my job shadow experience.  I discovered that a Pharmacist actually does most of her work on computer and uses a lot of abbreviations.

8.  What I learned informed my decision in this career because..  Easier then assumed  Got to see what I would really be doing throughout the courses.

9. Pharmacy Technician  Printed off the information sticker.  Found the correct medication  Counted the amount  Placed them in the bottle and sealed it. Pharmacist  Scanned the bottle and verified correct medication through the computer.  Sealed bottle  Placed in a bag and stapled it closed.

10.  Watch for customers that take advantage  Prescription records for 10 years  Calling doctors to approve odd orders

11.  Beginning this project, I was unsure as to what career I wanted to pursue. Looking back at my job shadow, I now know that a Pharmacist is my goal.  I would’ve never thought I would end up going into the medical field, nor going to college for 6 years.

12.  Without Copper Hills and the completion of this project, I don’t know where I would be with my future career goals.  I will become a Pharmacist Technician and a certified Pharmacist within the next 6 years. I wont stop until I achieve this goal.  Any questions?
