Rewards can come in all shapes and sizes. The best reward is the feeling a student gets when successfully completing a challenging task while performing the four language skills as an ELL.

Using the internet to communicate effectively with authentic teaching tools is network-based instruction, which allows for better teaching and learning solutions.

Due to a language barrier and the different cultural experiences of ESL students, it is difficult to accomplish success without the use of computers and other technology. Basic/Low Intermediate Intermediate High Intermediate IntroductoryAdvanced

 Variants and genres, including documentaries, interviews and manuals with Achievement Tests, have become companions of course curriculum in elementary and secondary education in ESL classrooms.  The website is a program component companion with internet activities. The five-level integrated skills series for language learning are authentic, natural and motivating.

What really matters the most is how we implement technology. Computers give educators various opportunities for improving their teaching capabilities by providing students with more challenging expectations, creating accountability and fostering organization.

More reliable usage of online based activities will increase language learning and promote motivation, while engaging ESL students in meaningful activities.

 Are you thinking about how to give your students a break?  Perhaps you are considering something a bit more mentally challenging?  Well, meet  The example below is from their website Without lifting pen from paper join these nine dots with four straight lines

Computers and Technology Tips and techniques for improving and exploring websites: 1. No nightmare of creating lesson plans. 2. Easy to download materials. 3. No extra time to plan activities. 4. Choosing educational games and fun activities is just a click away.

Learning Contracts  According to the site the use of learning contracts can enhance students’ self efficacy for reading and writing purposes. Learning contracts are used to spell-out required tasks the students have agreed to do.  The choices offered include a list of five possible projects, of which students are required to choose one or two.  This allows students more time to improve learning, it also creates differentiated instruction opportunities allowing for various goals for gifted learners, ELLS or students with disabilities.

 Share your finding with others.  The sky is the limit!  Be certain your students know you believe they can achieve anything!!!
