Effects of the earhquake On 12 January 2010 Haiti was struck by a massive earthquake its most powerful for 200 years. Over 220,000 people died and another 300,000 were left injured. 300,000 houses were damaged or destroyed, leaving 1.5 million people homeless. In the months since the disaster. Haiti has also faced a cholera epidemic and election-related riots

Poverty in Haiti The main reason poverty is in Haiti, is because a few years back there was a serious earthquake that destroyed buildings and people. Haitians were lazy and ‘ashamed’ to work.. which was why they were so poor. They spent too much money on rum.

Extraordinary People The Girl With A New Face Check out this girl on youtube. She was suffering in Haiti and she was dying at a very young age of 18. But no one could help her as they had no money to afford the opperation that had to be done to her. This is the girl who needed the opperation She had a serious tumor

Dirty water In Haiti people have to drink dirty water because they are to poor to afford clean water. That makes the people who drink the water at high risks of parasites and deadly disease such as cholera, dysentary and ameobas. It is also very dangerous for a pregnant women.
