Do Now: Interview Activity Answer questions in complete sentences. 1.Why is it important to practice the interview process? 2.List three questions that might be potentially asked in an interview.

Interview Activity Objective: Students will answer and practice answering interview questions.

Potential Interview Questions Look at the handout I gave you. Answer the questions individually. When completed, interview your neighbor utilizing the questions on the sheet. Do you like their answers? Write their answer next to yours.

More Questions What attracted you to this job? Why do you think you would be good at this job? Why do you want to work here? Tell me about the experiences that qualify you for his job. Tell me about your educational background. What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? Why did you leave your last job (or any other job on your resume?) May we contact your present (or any past) employer? What are your plans for the future? When would you be able to start work if offered the job? What salary do you need to earn? Is there anything you’d like to ask me about this position?

Behavioral Questions Describe a time which you showed initiative to go, “above and beyond” what was expected of you. Tell me about a time when you made a mistake. Give an example of a goal you set and how you achieved it. Recall a stressful situation and how you coped with it. Tell me about a time when you didn’t agree with an authority figure. Discuss a situation in which you worked with a group that was not successful. Give an example of a time that you effectively resolved a conflict.
