 This club is based on promoting student responsibility.  The students are expected to know and follow all the rules and regulations of the Tahoma Ski Club that are stated in the packet and this powerpoint presentation.  The Ski Club is a privilege and not a right.

 1/06 - normal  1/13 – half day  1/20 - normal  2/3 - normal  2/10 – half day  2/17 – normal  3/2 - normal

 All gear must be brought to school by parents.  Gear is not allowed on school buses.  Gear can be brought after school, but buses will not wait.  Each school has different storage area that will be locked right before school starts and will not be unlocked until after school.  TJH – Storage areas near locker rooms  TMS – Football Storage area near boys locker room  CRMS - Weight Room  THS- Storage room next to lecture hall

 All school gear and ski gear can be brought on ski bus. Nothing left at school.  Food is allowed.  Area must remain clean.  Electronics are allowed, but at owner’s risk.  One person in the bathroom at a time.  Do not scream for heat or TV volume.

 All school rules apply and listen to chaperones!  Drugs and alcohol are not permitted. Removal from club to police involvement.  No swearing – Bus Clean Up Duty to removal from the club.  Appropriate clothing required.  Do not throw food – Bus Clean Up Duty to removal from the club.  PDA or sharing of blankets– suspension to removal from the club.  Theft – Removal from the club to police involvement.

 If you know about theft and do not report it, you will also receive punishment.  Protect your gear. Lock it up at ski check or with a bicycle lock.

 HELMETS ARE REQUIRED!!!  1 st offense with no helmet: Kids are sent to chaperone table for the rest of the night and suspension for the following week.  2 nd offense with no helmet: Kids are removed from the club.  Make sure your helmet is for snowboarding or skiing.  Make sure your gear is properly fitted by a trained professional and is in good working condition.

 Club members are required to be at Summit Central or Summit West.  Alpental is off limits unless accompanied by a chaperone.  Shuttle or Cross over trail can be used to move between Central and West.  All other areas are off limits, including pancake house, grocery store, etc.  Stay out of all private lodges or ski school bungalows.

 Unless it’s pre-arranged or major emergency we are going to discourage allowing the students to be signed picked up from the mtn. We have had too many problems with students not checking out, resulting in late buses.  Please send a note with your student by Thursday of the week you plan to pick your student up.

 Chaperones will be located at Summit Central in the main lodge.  We will have a sign indicating the table the chaperones will be sitting at.  Students who have any problems need to report to that table.

 Always ski with a partner.  Stay in lit areas only.  Ski at your skill level to help prevent injuries.  If you are injured:  Have partner go to chairlift operator or ski patrol huts  Then have the partner report to the chaperones at main table.  Parents will receive phone call whenever a serious injury has occurred.

 Normal Nights - kids need to be back to the bus by 9:45.  Half Days – kids need to be back to the bus by 8:30.  If you are 00:01-14:59 late – student is suspended for one week. (no refund)  15:00 beyond – student is removed from club (no refund)  If you are injured, we will come get you.  If your friend is injured, get back to the bus!!

 Buses will be opened up 45 minutes before scheduled time for departure.  Do not mill around buses before that.  Last four back, regardless if they are late, will have to clean the bus.  Skipping clean up will result in suspension for the following week.

 Please to not park in bus lanes.  Buses will be instructed to pull right up in front.  Un-loaders will get all the gear off the bus.  Students will be dismissed by clean area.  Remember all your stuff. Lost and found is in the main office for TJH. Left possessions will not be available until the following school day.  Cleaners will come through after bus is empty

 There will be no access back into the school.  Kids need to bring everything with them onto the bus.

 Please do not call the school’s office on days where a trip is in question.  If a trip is going to be cancelled, your student will be allowed to call you when that decision has been made.  If you haven’t heard from them by 12:00, we are going.  Cancelled trips will be made up at the end of the year.  We will keep going until the we have made 7 trips or we are out of snow. In the event of a year where we can’t make 7 trips, a pro-rated rebate, minus a $25.00 fee will be sent back.
