World Health Organization (WHO) An international agency sponsored by the United Nations; complies statistics and information on disease, publishes health information, and investigates and addresses serious health problems throughout the world EBOLA

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (USSDHHS) A national agency that deals with the health problems in the United States

National Institutes of Health (NIH) A division of the USDHHS involved in research on diseases www. nih.gov

Health Departments Provide health services as directed by USDHHS; also provide specific services needed by the state and local community; examples of services include immunizations, inspections for sanitation, communicable disease control, collection of statistics and records related to health, health education, clinics for health care and prevention, and other services needed in the community.
