Ministry of Constructions and Regional Development Progress in regional development

Three development regions are functional North Region thousands inhabitants (Nomenclature of Territorial Units for European Statistics - NUTS 2) Center Region thousands inhabitants (NUTS 2) South Region thousands inhabitants (NUTS 3) Regional Development Councils and Regional Development Agencies are created and are operational.

4. Developing and implementing regional strategies. 5. Support co-operation between the Republic of Moldova and UE regions. 6. Building institutional capacity of regional and local governments and agencies of regional development. 7. Developing project proposals for European cooperation programs.

9. Initiating pilot development projects between the regions of the Republic of Moldova and the EU. 10. Participation of the Republic of Moldova into EU programs in the field of regional policy and local governance. 11. Organizing workshops and meetings at all levels. 12. Discussing topics of mutual interest relating to regional policy.
