Using SCQF to Stick to Our Principles SCQF Levels SQA Qualifications Qualifications of HEIs 10Hons Degree 9Bachelors/ Ord Degree 8HNDDip. HE 7HNC Cert. HE SCQF helps us to see clearly the relationships between college /university qualifications. SCQF helps us to fight and win battles. SCQF helps us to work with college and university partners to invent innovative collaborative curriculum models at levels 7-9 of the SCQF framework Helps us to make lifelong learning a reality. Develop a database of articulation opportunities in South East Scotland

Using SCQF to Produce Collaborative Curriculum Models SCQF Levels SQA Qualifications Qualifications of HEIs 10Hons Degree 9Bachelors/ Ord Degree 8HNDDip. HE 7HNC Cert. HE In ELRAH funded 8 articulation development projects. The new articulation projects funded are expected to generate 219 new articulation places for college students with HN qualifications into either year 2 or 3 of a degree programme. SCQF has provided the scaffolding to enable college and university partners to work collaboratively at the curriculum design stages.

Defining Programmes of Learning Challenges centre on: Fostering/ building relationships and trust between teams. Ensuring programme teams have in-depth knowledge and understanding of articulation, SCQF and an understanding of different curriculum frameworks, different curriculum design rules, terminology, assessment methods, operating context and academic processes Dispelling the myths and misconceptions that are out there Encouraging programme teams to prioritise these developments Credit/ knowledge skills gap between the 12 credit and the 15 credit HNC

Using SCQF to Move Forward (1) Enabling people in the workplace to use VQ qualifications at levels 3 or 4 to use them to articulate to degree study. Clearly SCQF does inform this discussion, although with SVQ Level 3 straddling both Levels 6 and 7 of the framework and SVQ4 straddling both levels 8 and 9 of the SCQF framework, we anticipate that VQ frameworks will have to be explored on an individual basis to ascertain the proportion of outcomes and competences gained that are at level 7. SCQF Levels Qualifications of HEIs Scottish Vocational Qualifications 10Hons Degree 9Bachelors/ Ord Degree SVQ4 8Dip. HE 7 Cert. HESVQ 3 6Qualifications of HEIs

Using SCQF to Move Forward (2) Developing qualifications at SCQF level 7 which are offered to school pupils at S5 or S6 through school/college/university partnerships which would provide opportunities to articulate to year 2 of a degree programme. SCQF Levels SQA QualificationsQualifications of HEIs 10Hons Degree 9Bachelors/ Ord Degree 8HNDDip. HE 7SCOTTISH BACCALAUREATES/ HNC + Study Skills Cert. HE
