Demonstrating Workplace Readiness Skills: Personal Qualities and People Skills

Demonstrate positive work ethic. Work ethic is a trainable set of values and behaviors that when aligned drive sustained performance.. It means not only working harder, but working with purpose.It means not only working harder, but working with purpose

Demonstrate integrity. Doing the Right Thing when no one is looking, or when you will not be recognized for doing the right thing.

Integrity identifying and abiding by laws and workplace policies (e.g., using personal and sick leave only when necessary) respecting the property of the employer and coworkers identifying how one’s actions and behavior can have far- reaching effects (e.g., personal behavior affects others nearby; business decisions can have global implications or impact the environment) exhibiting honesty and reliability.

Demonstrate teamwork skills.
