FTX INITIAL PLANNING CONFERENCE ARF DIREX 2015

 Participants agreed with the proposed scenarios  Participation:  Laos = observers  Indonesia = building collapse (20 responders)  China = CBRN (20 – 30 responders); RTA & HAZMAT (25 responders); building collapse and flood (30 responders)  China requested for a separate location for their CISAR  Site plan of the venue will be proposed in FPC  SAR Team will consist of a collaboration team with other countries  Korea = to be confirmed (CBRN, HAZMAT, building collapse and medical) SAR WORKING GROUP

1. Reporting mechanism from foreign country to host.. refer to operational framework slide o Ground operational issue: reporting to commander medical teams to on site 2. Logistic of medical assistance o Water supply and water purification o specific personnel identification of medical teams i.e emergency physician/surgeon/specialized teams o volunteers for stretcher bearers o medical tent cleanliness, and sterility o medical waste management o medical staff hygiene o liaison officer at strategic place i.e evacuation camp o Field hospital, medical base station MEDICAL WORKING GROUP

Communication among the medical teams o communication support locally among the medical teams o language barrier: requirement of translator (recommended english-speaking personnel in each team/bilingual ) Safety and security o rescuers, medical base, personnel Hygiene o clean water supply

Assumption: All Comms down 2 Comms persons from Malaysia will be assigned to each of the foreign response entities All four sites will be connected to the EOC via voice and data Internet will be available at EOC COMMUNICATION WORKING GROUP

Discussions are going on with Mercy Malaysia and China giving a lot of inputs both in the assets side and plan / layout of the evacuation centre.A number of new inputs are being discussed at the moment. AHA and OCHA are also coming in. EVACUATION WORKING GROUP
