THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE AND WUTHERING HEIGHTS

WUTHERING HEIGHTS THEME: the theme of Wuthering Heights is the battles of love that seem to never change there were three main love stories in the reading 1.Catherine and Heathcliff these 2 refused to change to embrace each others differences 2.Catherine and Heathcliffs passion for Wuthering Heights Rooted to childhood 3.Young Catherine and Hareton growing and changing together

THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE THEME: the searching of love through a haunted house main lovers of the story 1.Eleanor and Theodore these 2 have a sense of lust between each other, but the house ends that 2.Eleanor and Luke Luke does not have feelings towards Eleanor however she has feelings towards him 3.Eleanor and the house This results in Eleanor dying because she was kicked out of the house She was too attached

SIMILARITIES both stories revolved around the struggles of love both stories explain how many people change from love, some good some bad both stories describe the connections between a group of people both stories have some sort of haunting involving the groups of people

DIFFERENCES each story deals with their love in a different manner the characters deal with hauntings, however Wuthering Heights has a spirit that they know vs. The Haunting of Hill House that is a mystery haunting the groups in each story have different intentions about how they interact

IN CONCLUSION… The Haunting of Hill House focuses on the struggles between a group of people dealing with their love affairs, each character dealing with it in a different way. As the main character becomes to attached to the house she is asked to leave to avoid any other complications. Wuthering Heights deals with the same aspects however approaches it in a unique way. Each person in the love triangle seems to connect in some type of way. The story is written as diaries entities and has a lot of details within the love circle.
