TODAY  Collect ch SGs  TKAM: ch Quiz  Discuss ch of TKAM  JOURNAL ENTRY #8: Adversity  Introduction to Research Papers:  must come up with at least two ideas for topic (one of which must be from provided list)  begin KWL chart  HOMEWORK:  IRP due tomorrow [ to me?]  KWL charts (both sides) due Friday  Ch of TKAM needs to be read by Monday

Ch Discussion  Who is Tom Robinson? How does Atticus defend what he is doing for him?  Why do Scout and Jem have “mixed feelings” about Christmas?  Atticus says: “It’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.” What reasoning do we get for this from Miss Maudie?  Scout starts to feel that Atticus is too old and questions if he can do anything. What secret talent does he have? What does his keeping it a secret show about him?  Who is Mrs. DuBose? What is the importance of the alarm clock? What lesson do Scout and Jem learn from her death? Why, in Atticus's view, was Mrs. Dubose “a great lady”?
