Reader’s Notebook Goal: I will use my Reader’s Notebook to help facilitate my comprehension of my novel by completing activities using reading skills and strategies.

Reader’s Notebook Activity Selection for Monday, December 1, 2014 Read during the Reader’s Workshop. Then, select ONE of the following options: Draw 4 objects that represent your reading. Write a sentence for each, telling what each item says about what you’ve been reading In a few sentences, summarize what you have read today Make a timeline of events that have occurred in your book so far Predict what will happen next Tell me about the main character. What kind of person is he/she? Describe the setting’s time and place. List the clues that helped you identify the setting. Draw it.

If you were the author, what would you do to make it more interesting? 8. What is something that you have learned from your reading? Responses should be at a minimum of three sentences. You must include drawings or pictures to help convey your ideas.
