PROPER DRESS  Proper attire  Look Professional  No jewelry except watch, ring, Auxiliary Pin  A flag pin may be worn above the Auxiliary Pin  Nothing goes above the American Flag Pin  Never use an Auxiliary or Flag pin as a scarf fastener  Name tag goes on right side

MEETING PREPARATION  Arrive 30 minutes early  Materials in place  Prepare flags for advancement or assure they are in place  Sufficient seating: podium and floor  Guest book/sign in sheet

ADVANCEMENT OF COLORS  Eagles face forward  American Flag on left side (looking from podium)  Auxiliary Banner should be dipped slightly  Auxiliary Banner stops  American Flag continues and crosses in front of banner  Both continue to platform

POSTING COLORS  American Flag and Auxiliary banner are posted simultaneously  Step back offer hand salute  Eagles should be facing forward  American Flag slightly higher than banner

DURING MEETINGS  Remain at doors  Be alert to needs of Presiding Officer and members  Keep order during the meeting  Meeting room doors to be kept closed

ESCORTING GUESTS  Offer your right arm  Legionnaires, SAL and veterans escorted to the flag side  Auxiliary members and civilians escorted to banner side  Auxiliary members may or may not hand salute  Wait at side of podium  Escort guest to door or seat

CLOSE OF MEETING  Retire the Colors  American Flag and Banner are to be folded not wrapped  Return the room to its original order

HALLOWED GROUND  The area between the flags; Florida ….  Once colors are posted, or  Meeting is called to order  No passing between flags
