Be in your seat at brown tables when tardy bell rings. I will give instructions once.

LAB SHEETS If the lab sheet was not filled out correctly and handed in the class period before the lab…

YOUR GROUP WILL NOT COOK!!!

YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED BOOKWORK TO DO TO EARN THE LAB POINTS.

FOLLOW SAFETY RULES If you have an accident tell the teacher.

FOOD AT SUPPLY TABLE All food from the supply table must be measured there. Do not take containers back to your units to measure.

» PLEASE NO STUDENTS IN FRIDGE OR PANTRY WITHOUT MY PERMISSION

LEFTOVERS

FOOD LEAVING THE ROOM Please ask permission to take food from the foods room.

Any leftovers in serving dish may be shared or brought to the demo table… Any leftovers on your plate are for you or the garbage.

APPAREL Aprons are required to be worn and tied! Tie long hair back. No flowing sleeves No underwear showing!

KEEP IT CLEAN (Sanitation) Use good dish washing practices… –Hot soapy water every time. –Use the dish drainer that is under your sink. –Wash glasses and silverware first – then wash dirty, greasy items. –Rinse in hot water. –Dry thoroughly before returning your equipment to its proper place.

GARBAGE What do I do with my GARBAGE ?

1. You may put it in the garbage can. 2. If it is grease – put it in the used grease container. OR

You may put food in the garbage disposal in the sink if… 1. You run cold water 2. Only those putting food in can turn on the switch. 3. You run it at the end of each lab.

DIRTY LAUNDRY 1. Put wet towels and cloths in proper spot in laundry sorter.

Cleaning aprons When you are finished, one person from your unit will spread out aprons on the tables and wipe with the sanitizing solution. Let them dry and hang them back up again.

CLEAN LAUNDRY 1.Aprons that are clean should be hung up on the pegs again. 2.Items in the plastic laundry basket are CLEAN! Do not put dirty towels in here.

BUT I’M TIRED… You may sit on chairs.

BUT NOT ON… 1. Tables or 2. Counter tops!

WHEN CAN I LEAVE? When your lab group is finished I will come and check your lab. If everything is clean and in place you will be checked out and then you may leave when the bell rings. If it is not clean your entire group must stay and finish it.

WHAT ABOUT MY GRADE? You must be responsible… If you want a grade for the lab you MUST Fill out lab sheet correctly and turn it in to the market order basket.

Points will be deducted for: 1. Not cleaning properly. 2. Childish behavior (not flipping towels) 3. Not helping with lab responsibilities. 4. Not following directions

Do I Have to Eat? Everyone tastes everything unless I have a note from home prior to the lab explaining allergies or other personal reasons for not eating.
