Recycle Round-Up April 25, 2014 Recap

The Recycle Round – Up was a collaborative effort involving the whole Owatin Creek Community. We are thankful for all of our support - The Green Team for organizing the event, the families collecting for our crafts and activities, local businesses donating supplies, the office staff and janitor staff handling our donations, Mr. Dibler and Mrs. Jupina creating awesome displays, Mrs. Bainbridge and Mrs. Bogust for volunteering their time and expertise, and the families who attended the event! But most importantly, we thank Mrs. Cook for embracing our ideas and allowing us to “run with them” to create a fun family night!!

Each family who entered the Round-Up received a reusable shopping bag and a fact finding scavenger hunt paper. The answers were found within the many displays and activities available in the room. When the family finished the scavenger hunt they could enter their name in a free drawing for wonderful prizes!!

Recycle Round-Up Displays and Activities

Mr. Dibler’s Fourth Grade Class created display including Information about our “Green School” Each display focused on a different green aspect of our school! All of his students embraced the project and created wonderful displays!! Thank You!! Mr. Dibler and your students!!

Mrs. Jupina’s Second Grade Class Participated in the Round – Up Creating a book with helpful hints on how to “Reduce” Each of her students created a page in the book and also a poster to match their page! The posters were created on discarded poster paper – an excellent example of “reusing” and “reducing” Thank You, Mrs. Jupina and all of your students!!
