DAC Issues to be raised: ◦ Increasing visibility of DAC particularly as a method to recruit membership ◦ Transparency on budget matters-the DAC budget and the Central Office budget ◦ Calendaring of Meetings throughout the district ◦ Partner with district to create effective Parent Centers ◦ Training

Report out on the meeting with the superintendents. Changes to DAC such as : Bylaw changes to encourage parent participation and to incorporate other parent advisory groups. Meeting format changes with potentially more to address the needs of the members and the challenge of recruiting new members while continuing to keep veteran members engaged. Challenges: Transparency of DAC and Central budgets. Updating school site SSC webpages. Future Plans and areas of focus of the DAC.

 There is one additional name being put forward to serve on the DAC executive team: Howard Jenkins-Knox Middle School

Share with your sites and communities the School Lunch Summer Sites. Watch for SDU 2013/2014 budget information. If you wish to get involved the first reading for board adoption will be June 18 th and the vote to finalized will be at the June 25 th school board meeting. Go to to view the board agenda and budget documents. The DAC will be presenting their semi annual report to the school board on June 25 th.
