Magnets pick up metals but not ALL metals. Metals can attract iron, nickel, and cobalt. Magnets can not pick up materials such as chalk, rubber, plastic, and glass.

The path that will be highlighted in red on the next slide describes the circuit. Remember, the circuit is the path that the electrons take to create the electricity. This picture shows a closed circuit or a complete circuit. If all of the wires weren’t connected it would be an open circuit or an incomplete circuit.

Electricity Review Electricity can only pass through certain objects that are made of particular metals. However, there are objects that will not allow electricity to pass through them. Examples of these items are plastic, glass, and rubber.

Next Time We reviewed all of the information learned in the first unit. You will need to study all of this information in order to do well on your test. Remember to print your test out before our next lesson. Study hard and good luck!
