Expedition Briefing for Boys The Boys’ Brigade 12 th Singapore Company (Barker Road) Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road)

Introduction For the upcoming adventure camp, the Sec 2 to Sec 4’s will be participating in a 30km plus hike around the central catchment area over two days and one night During which, each Boy will have to cater for his own meals and own shelter overnight It is essential that each Boy has the correct equipment packed and ready for use before the hike is done A pre-hike bag inspection will be carried out.

Job Description AppointmentTask Group ICOversee all group members do their respective role and take charge of the group overall. To be directly answerable to officers. Group 2ICAssist group IC in his roles and to ensure all equipment is prepared before hike, as well as to act as treasurer. Map ICEnsure that all maps are wrapped properly prior to hike Map 2ICAssist Map IC. Ensure that all navigational equipment are ready and working (Map, Compass, OHP Markers, Pacer, protractor) Food ICEnsure that all the food items are standardised and to decide and allocate who brings what food Food 2ICAssist food IC. To ensure that all cooking stores are ready and working (Tommy Cooker, Mess Tin, Solid Fuel, Jack Knife) Safety ICTo ensure first aid kit is stocked and ready to use. Also, to ensure that each member of the group has at least 3l of water. Camp ICTo ensure that all tent building equipment is ready and working, also to ensure standardisation of equipment) Camp 2ICTo assist in camp 2IC’s role.

Maps Each group is to prepare 4 maps that are wrapped according to standard. Each map should be wrapped up as a whole. All taping should be done using clear tape
