2 Participants should bring: O Personal toiletries (toothbrush, soap) O Toilet paper (one/person) in ziplock bag O Bowl and utensils (tupperware with lids works great!0 O Mug for hot drinks O Thermos (1/canoe pair) O Camping knife (optional) O Flashlight or headlamp O Sleeping bag (goes to -10°C) O Sleeping mat (at least 1 inch thick) O 1 water bottle (1 L each) O Stove and fuel (one working per cooking group) O Tent (working and Water proofed, Shared per group) O Pots & pans (shared per group) O Large Tarp per canoe pair O Cooking utensils O Backpack

3 Clothing suggestions O 2 T-shirts O 3 Warm long sleeve top/ Fleece jackets O Hiking boots O Spare pair of footwear (crocs or runners) O Rain gear-jacket and pants O Nylon-lined pants O Long Underwear O Shorts –one or two pair O Toque O Mitts O Warm Socks O Towel (camping size)

4 Other personal items to consider O Plastic garbage bags (3) for water proofing O Ziplock bags (for wet items) O Separate bag to leave in the vehicle containing dry clothes for the end of the trip. O Rope (25ft. per pair) (to string your tarp on your canoe) O personal antibiotic wipes or hand gel

5 School will provide O Hatchets O Large water container O Stoves & fuel (extra) O Kettle O Flares & bear repellent O 1 st aid kit O Biodegradable soap (dish) and cleaning station O Maps O Fire starter kit

6 Consider when packing O Drinks crystals – bring your own. We will supply hot chocolate, tea and honey O Cooking your food – Make sure your stove and cooking equipment is in working order. Test it prior to the departure. Food should be prepared so that you only need to warm it or boil it. O Repackage all food to limit space taken and garbage you will have to pack out. O Stick with what you say you’re going to provide. O All your gear must be water proofed. If you expect stuff to get wet, you’ll do a better job preventing it from happening. O Remember your feet. Bring lots of wool socks to keep your feet happy O NO Cotton ALLOWED. Cotton dries slowly – if at all. Some type of poly clothing is more suitable
