4 Expedition locations Practice Expedition:
The expedition will take place through the countryside around Cheddar Campsite will be Lillypool Campsite Drop off and collection near East Harptree

5 Expedition locations Assessed Expedition:
Meet on Exmoor (detailed directions will be given) The expedition will take place through the countryside on and around Exmoor National Park Campsite will be Sparkhayes Farm Campsite (Porlock) Dismissal will be on Exmoor

6 The Expedition Walking in a group of 6-7 fellow students
Self sufficient and not accompanied by adults

7 Equipment It is essential that you are appropriately equipped and prepared for your expedition We will be checking your kit before you go Youth Equipment Store at Hestercombe

8 Equipment Walking boots
2 full sets of clothing (one worn, one carried): thick walking socks, underwear, trousers, T-shirt/base layer, fleece/mid layer Coat Full set of waterproofs (top and bottom)

9 Equipment Sleeping bag and sleeping roll mat
Waterproof bags to keep all your kit dry in your rucksack Rucksack to carry everything Notebook & pencil Camera Whistle Torch/head-torch and spare batteries

10 Equipment Water bottle Bowl, mug and cutlery
Your food for the expedition Small personal first aid kit (plasters for blisters etc) Small wash kit (including any sanitary products you require)

11 The Training Days Bring: outdoor clothes, your kit and a packed lunch
Map and compass skills Food & cooking and hygiene Walk with practical navigation training Route planning Tents Safety, the countryside code, aims and presentations Personal equipment First aid Bring: outdoor clothes, your kit and a packed lunch
