Presentation transcript:

Issue The issue about pirating music and games is that its illegal and your stealing other peoples hard work and making a profit from something you didn’t create.

Why is it a issue The reason why pirating music is a issue is because when the artist and the producers and the engineers make the music it requires a large amount of money and when you download their songs for free their not making and profit and eventually will run out of money forcing them to stop making music

What affects it has on society today It doesn't have a big affect on society itself but it mostly affects the businesses creating the music but it is still illegal.

What is being done ? The government has started the “ Stop Online Piracy Act” ( SOPA ). This allows the government to track online piracy websites and blocks them form further use. If you are caught owning a pirating website then you can serve up to 5 years in prison.

Personal reflection My personal opinion on pirating is that its illegal and should never be done because sooner or later the music your downloading will no longer be available because the artist needs money to continue to make his music. Yes, your getting it for free but not everything in life is free.
